WEE Ministry Preschool

We wrapped up the year by celebrating each teacher’s special talents with fun awards. Our staff is full of incredible people, and we are so thankful for every one of them!

The Cricket class shone bright in their spring program and kindergarten graduation today! ⭐️🌟 We are so proud of these sweet students and the way they live out the WEE Ministry Preschool Creed each day:

“I am a WEE Ministry Star, shining my light for Jesus every day. I will make your day bright by treating you the way I want to be treated. I will smile, use kind words, and gentle touches. The Bible tells me I am wonderfully made and my future is bright. Jesus loves me. My family loves me. My school family loves me. I am a WEE Ministry Star!”

Congratulations to our graduates! 👨‍🎓👩‍🎓 We know they will continue to shine brightly and share God’s love as they begin a new school year. ❤️✨

Ladybug Class dove into a week of learning about oceans and beaches which provided opportunities for:

Imaginative Play (relaxing on beach towels, creating scenarios with sea animals, swimming in the "ocean" )

Letter identification, letter sound recognition and building vocabulary (reading stories and fun facts about ocean animals)

Number recognition and counting by counting and comparing fish, sea stars and octopus arms

Growing social skills by using our words with friends when we have big feelings, taking turns, sharing, recognizing our friends feelings and SO much more!

The Grasshopper Class ( 2s and 3s) is learning about the ocean! They even have a giant jelly fish in their classroom compliments of Ms. Kiwi! 🌊💙 🪼

The Cricket class raised butterflies from baby caterpillars and released them today! Some friends were able to hold one before they flew away! The class was so proud of their "class pets" accomplishments 🐛🦋💙

Bike Day was this week and the kids age 2 through Kindergarten had a blast! They loved the car wash and gas station! 😀

The Grasshopper class encountered real live babies "in the wild"!! 😆

We are celebrating our wonderful staff this week with a 90s themed week! A BIG thank you to the families helping us provide lunch this week! WEE Ministry Preschool is blessed with the most generous families 💙

These are pics of Process Art Experiences from WEE classes this week. According to the National Association for the Education of Young Children, messy play/process art experiences support executive function, creativity, and problem-solving in early childhood.

Process art strengthens:

Fine motor skills through grasping and manipulating art tools

Hand-eye coordination during painting, cutting, and building

Sensory integration through texture, movement, and hands-on exploration

Language development when reflecting on and discussing artwork
