Sequoyah Middle School

Tonight, Sequoyah Middle School & Sequoyah 8th Grade Academy welcomed the newest members of the National Junior Honors Society. These students earned this recognition not only by earning stellar grades but also by exhibiting positive character traits and leadership. Congratulations!

Wednesday afternoon, Seniors from the Class of 2026 returned to Sequoyah Middle School for a quick reunion and reception. It was great to see these students all grown up and to hear about all of their accomplishments and plans for the future. Seniors, your SMS Family is proud of you!

COMING SOON: Halloween Dance. Join the fun on Thursday, October 30th. Dance, listen to music, or hang out with friends -- come enjoy the fun!

Students will be dismissed after school to attend the dance and must be picked up at 5:30pm from the Cafeteria at the back of the school (to avoid backing up traffic on Elm).

Tickets are $8 cash, or $9 online. Students may purchase tickets in-person beginning the week of the dance during their lunch hour.

Wristbands for entry will be delivered to students during their TA class on the day of the dance. Concessions will be available throughout the entire event including popcorn, chips, candy, and drinks ranging from $1-$2 each (cash only please).

NJHS Students - Community Service Hours Opportunity

We need 4 more students for Tuesday 8/5 and 10 students for Wednesday 8/6 to help with schedule pickup. Students would need to meet in the office at 3:15 and be picked up 6:00. Please email Ms.Herring at [email protected] if you are available.

The school currently has no electricity. Parents, if you want to pick up your students you are welcome to come up and get them now.

We will keep them until 3:20 and dismiss as normal.
