The smell of notebook paper is in the air, and the end of summer feels so bittersweet. Before we officially head back to school, drop your favorite photos from this summer in the comments!

Rhoades this year, we're excited to introduce a new way to support our school through business memberships. Each month we will highlight all of our valued PTA Business Sponsors! These local businesses help make field trips, family events, student programs, and other meaningful opportunities possible through their generous support. By recognizing our sponsors, we hope to thank them for investing in our students while encouraging our school community to support the businesses that support our children. Our first business sponsor is Accrual World Billing Solutions, LLC . Owned by our former president and current treasurer Shannon, better known as the purple haired lady.

A Look Back at the 2025–2026 School Year

As we begin another exciting year at Rhoades, we wanted to take a moment to celebrate everything our PTA accomplished last school year.
Thanks to the incredible support of our families, staff, volunteers, community partners, and business sponsors, we:

Supported 430 students
Served 71 amazing staff members
Welcomed 117 PTA members

Countless moments that brought our school community together

Every fundraiser, membership, donation and volunteer hour helped create meaningful experiences for our students and staff. Last year wasn't without its challenges, but because of this incredible community, our mission never stopped moving forward.
Now we're looking ahead to

2026–2027 with even bigger dreams! Our goal is to raise $20,000 so we can continue expanding programs, supporting our teachers and creating even more opportunities for every Rhoades kiddo!!

For the First Time Ever... Rhoades is Participating in the National PTA Reflections Program!!!! We are so excited to announce that Rhoades Elementary will be participating in the National PTA Reflections Program for the very first time!

Reflections is a nationally recognized arts program that encourages students to express themselves creatively while exploring a yearly theme. It gives children the opportunity to share their unique perspectives through the arts while building confidence, creativity and self-expression.

This Year's Theme:

"What My Culture Means to Me"
This year's theme encourages students to think about the traditions, values, languages, foods, celebrations, beliefs and experiences that shape who they are. Every family has a story, and every culture deserves to be celebrated.

To ensure every child has the opportunity to participate, students will be creating their Reflections projects during the school day in class.

This year, Rhoades will participate in:

Visual Arts
- Kindergarten–2nd Grade
- 3rd–5th Grade
- Accessible Arts Division for students with disabilities or special needs participating in Visual Arts

Literature
- 3rd–5th Grade

All entries will be judged by an impartial panel of community members based on interpretation of the theme, creativityand artistic technique.
Winning entries will advance directly to the Oklahoma PTA State Reflections Competition, where they will compete with students from across the state. From there, the top entries will move on to the National PTA Reflections Competition.

Families, we'd love your help!
Take a few moments to talk with your child about what your culture means to your family. Share your traditions, favorite foods, languages, holidays, beliefs, family stories and the values that make your family unique. Those conversations can inspire meaningful artwork and writing that truly reflects this year's theme.

We are so proud to bring this incredible program to Rhoades for the first time and can't wait to celebrate the creativity, talent and stories of our Rhoadies. We wish all of our students the very best as they begin their Reflections journey!
