Hello Childers families!
As the school year begins to wind down, we canβt help but reflect on what an incredible few weeks it has been for our school community. From the dedication of our families to the heart our students and staff bring each day, Childers truly is a special placeβand we are so grateful to be part of it!
Last Tuesday, our board had the honor of attending a luncheon hosted by the Broken Arrow PTA Council. We are beyond proud to share that Childers was recognized as the Secondary PTA Unit of the Year! This award is a reflection of the amazing support, time, and generosity poured into our school by so many of you. It truly takes a village, and ours is simply the best!
We are also thrilled to celebrate our very own Mrs. Davis, who was named Principal of the Year! Her leadership, compassion, and unwavering commitment to our students and staff make a difference every single day. She leads with heart, inspires excellence, and creates a school environment where everyone feels valued and supported. We are so lucky to have her leading the way at Childers!
Thank you, Childers families, for being such an important part of what makes our school so extraordinary. We canβt wait to share more highlights with you soon!

Day 5 and the GRAND FINALE of Teacher Appreciation Week was all about the TOPPINGS because we think "YOUβRE THE TOPS!β ππ₯π
We started the morning with a yogurt parfait bar loaded with all the toppings, plus bagels and cream cheese toppings generously provided by the same amazing Childers family who donated donuts on Thursday. Your continued support means so much to us!
Lunch was a delicious baked potato bar from Texas Roadhouse provided by Heather Bryson - Country Financial. THANK YOU so much for helping us spoil our teachers! Ronβs Hamburgers and Chili Broken Arrow also pitched in with a pot of their famous chili to top those potatoes, and it was a huge hit!
For dessert, Charlie's Chicken South BA donated peach and apple cobblers and, of course, we added ice cream and all the toppings to make it extra sweet. π¨
To top off this incredible week, the PTA treated our staff to Sonic drinks thanks to Sonic Drive-In for providing them at a deeply discounted rate.
We also wrapped up the week by giving away over 25 amazing door prizes to our staff, and every single staff member received a special goody bag that included a custom Childers Middle School blanket. π§Ίπ Nothing says appreciation quite like cozy school spirit!
What a wonderful week celebrating the incredible teachers and staff at Childers! We are beyond grateful to every family, business, volunteer, and community partner who helped make this week feel like a five-day celebration parade for our amazing educators. ππ
