Thank you to those of you that've already made some fundraiser sales! This is our BIG fundraiser for the school year. It affords us the opportunity to purchase enriching manipulatives and play items for our classrooms and for indoor recess. Don't forget to bring your tickets to school to get fun collectibles!

Friday, September 11 is our first Professional Day. There are five pre-planned Professional Days built into the calendar for teacher professional development and collaboration. This is a work day for teachers and staff, but not for students. There is no school for students on this day. Mark your calendars for the following Professional Days: September 11, November 13, January 4, February 5, and April 16.

Today kicks off our BIG fundraiser for PLECC!

Without a PTA at the pre-K level, we do a large fundraiser each fall to purchase extra items for our school and classrooms. This is that fundraiser! Students will be selling a large variety of yummy gourmet cookie dough, along with other items – just in time for fall and the holidays! Our fundraiser kick-off begins today, Wednesday, September 9 and ends Wednesday, September 23. Fun prizes will be given! If you choose to just make a donation, please do so directly to PLECC and NOT through the fundraiser site as we would only get a portion of that donation.

This year, we are focusing on raising funds for resources that enhance our students' learning experiences.

Goals of the Fundraiser: (1) Acquire classroom instructional games (2) Provide hands-on manipulatives for interactive learning (3)Purchase inside recess activities for extra hot or cold days

Thank you in advance for your support in making our pre-K classroom a wonderful place for our children to learn and grow! Look for information in your child's backpack.

Back to School Night is Tuesday, September 1, from 6:00 - 7:00. This is not a come-and-go, but a presentation by your child’s teacher beginning at 6:00. There will be lots of information, so it is important for a parent or guardian to attend. This is your opportunity to hear an overview of curriculum and details regarding your child’s instructional day. Due to space limitations in the classroom, we respectfully ask that students stay home and parents only attend.

Wow, what an amazing week this has been! Without a PTA to coordinate this week, our parents and community stepped up big. Our entire staff was gifted with breakfast, lunch, and an afternoon snack EVERY DAY! Our Wednesday “VIP” room service carriers contained each staff member’s favorite Sonic drink, a sweet treat, a salty treat, and gift cards. And were we ever gifted! Thank you to Chef Fredrick Thompson, Ashton Darling Buchanan / Buchanan Bakery, Highland Park PTA, Bethany Church, the Alisia Kurr family, QuikTrip, Blue Bell, Crumbl Cookies, Chick-Fil-A Broken Arrow, HTea0, Texas Roadhouse, Rib Crib Broken Arrow, Charlie’s Chicken, and our precious parents. You lifted us, loved us, and celebrated us. Goodness, we felt it! Extra shout out to Molly James, Courtnie Ann Aschkenas, Katy McCullar for gathering, organizing, picking up, and delivering items!
