From friendly rivals to travel partners! ✈️💜❤️
Sometimes the best opportunities happen when we step outside the competition and learn together. The College & Career Counselors from Jenks High School and Broken Arrow High School had the privilege of attending a counselor fly-in at High Point University, and we returned inspired with valuable information to share with our students.
We were impressed by HPU’s commitment to developing the whole student through its focus on life skills, an extraordinary education, and a community of genuinely caring people. We explored outstanding academic programs including Nursing, Business, Physical Therapy, Liberal Arts, Education, Esports, Engineering, and Criminal Justice.
One of the highlights was hearing from an incredible student panel. Several students shared that they are completely different people than they were in high school which a testament to the personal growth they’ve experienced at HPU.
We also learned about the many influential leaders connected to HPU who continue to invest in its mission. It’s inspiring to see successful alumni and supporters return to mentor students and even teach courses.
A huge thank you to High Point University for your hospitality and for sharing your vision of preparing students not just for careers, but for life.
