A strong school year doesn’t start with a calendar—it starts with connection, clarity, and a team ready to lead.
Yesterday, Rochelle Whellams facilitated a Student Government Kickoff at Woodcreek High School, helping student leaders build relationships, strengthen their team, and prepare to create meaningful experiences for their campus.
These students aren’t simply planning events. They’re shaping the culture their classmates will experience every day.
Thank you, Woodcreek High School, for trusting Ignite2Unite to help launch the year with purpose and momentum. We can’t wait to see what this team creates!

What happens when you put 120+ student leaders in a room and ask them to build something bigger than themselves?
Over the past two days, our Jason Jedamski had the privilege of facilitating a Student Leadership Retreat with the incredible student leaders of East Side Union High School District in San Jose, CA.
These students didn't just talk about leadership—they practiced it.
They built genuine connections, learned about school culture and climate, focused on creating new norms, reflected on the kind of leaders they want to become, and spent hours working to make their schools better than there were last year.
Leadership isn't about titles.
It's about influence.
It's about relationships.
It's about creating spaces where every student feels seen, valued, and connected.
Watching students move from strangers to teammates, from surface-level conversations to genuine vulnerability, and from individual ideas to collective action is why I love this work.
The future of our schools is bright because of students like these.
Thank you to the amazing ASB sponsors of the East Side Union High School District for investing in your student leaders and trusting Ignite2Unite to be part of their journey.
Now the real work begins.
The retreat may be over...
but the culture they create this school year is just getting started.

Great schools don't happen by accident.
They happen because leaders intentionally build great cultures.
Yesterday our Jason Jedamski had the privilege of facilitating the Bixby Public Schools Administrative Retreat, and what stood out wasn't just the conversations we had—it was the way their leaders showed up for one another.
Throughout the day, there was laughter.
There were meaningful conversations.
There were moments of vulnerability.
And there was a clear commitment to strengthening the relationships that ultimately shape every classroom across the district.
We spent time exploring one of the most important truths about leadership:
People engage when they trust.
Trust isn't created through another initiative or strategic plan.
It's built one conversation at a time.
One relationship at a time.
One intentional interaction at a time.
When administrators experience belonging, connection, and trust with one another, they are better equipped to create those same experiences for teachers. And when teachers feel connected, students benefit.
That's how culture grows—from the inside out.
Thank you to the incredible leadership team at Bixby Public Schools for inviting Ignite2Unite to be part of your journey.
Your willingness to invest in your people speaks volumes about the future you're creating for your staff, your students, and your community.
Excited to see where this momentum leads.

24 hours at Jostens Global Renaissance Conference reminded me why this work matters.
Over the past day, our Jason Jedamski had the opportunity to lead sessions on creating irresistible experiences and building thriving student sections.
What stood out wasn't what happened on stage.
It was what happened in the room.
Hundreds of educators, advisors, and student leaders weren't just listening. They were engaging, practicing, discussing, laughing, challenging ideas, and thinking deeply about how to create schools where students want to belong.
One message kept resurfacing:
Culture doesn't happen by accident.
It is built through what we permit, practice, and promote.
Thank you to everyone who attended, shared ideas, asked questions, and committed to making their schools better places for students.
The future is bright when educators continue investing in connection, belonging, and school culture.

Yesterday our Jason Jedamski had the privilege of facilitating the Norman Public Schools Administrator Retreat with an incredible group of leaders committed to serving students, staff, and community.
We spent the day focused on a simple but powerful idea:
People Before Professionals.
When leaders intentionally build relationships, trust grows. When trust grows, engagement follows. And when engagement follows, culture changes.
Together, we explored:
✅ Why engagement is the first intervention
✅ The connection between relationships, trust, and performance
✅ How culture is shaped through both macro-behaviors and micro-behaviors
✅ Practical ways leaders can create connection, belonging, and engagement in their schools
One of the biggest takeaways from the day:
"Culture isn't built in a day. It's built daily."
The future of education depends on leaders who understand that culture is not a program—it's the result of thousands of interactions, conversations, and moments of connection.
Thank you to the Norman Public Schools leadership team for your engagement, vulnerability, and willingness to invest in the people who make your schools great.
The energy in the room was incredible, and I can't wait to see the impact these conversations have across the district in the coming year.
