Vanguard Academy of Broken Arrow

This past Saturday Oklahoma Climbing Guides, Mr. Summers, and Mr. Hundley took 13 students to Lincoln Lake Arkansas to climb. What an amazing scene to sacrifice comfort for growth!

SENIOR PRANK ALERT
The Senior Vanguard Class of 2026 understood the assignment this week and gave us a prank we will NEVER forget! Students and staff arrived to find the front doors completely blocked off with caution tape, a security bouncer checking everyone in at the back entrance, a live DJ pumping up the morning, and a full-on dance floor takeover with the entire school joining in by advisory for our theme- Better Together! What started as confusion quickly turned into laughter, dancing, and one unforgettable memory! The creativity, school spirit, and positive energy from our seniors made this prank one for the books!
Class of 2026, thank you for reminding us that school is about more than academics . It is also about community, connection, and moments we’ll remember forever.

Yesterday was Back to PreK Day for our Vanguard Seniors. Mr. Darrow and Mr. McDow enjoyed a day of crafts, naps, story time and play time. What a wonderful way to enjoy some time with our seniors! Thank you for always going the extra mile with your creativity!

Celebrate the end of the school year!! Dress up days!

We would like to take a minute to thank the people who made the Vanguard graduation such a special event Friday. Without these amazing people, graduation would not be possible or as amazing as it was! First, Ms. Sagely for your expert planning and MCing of the night. Without you and your knowledge of what to do, and when, the night would not be possible. Next, Ms, Keaton Edwards, without your purchasing, decorating, hard work, and always knowing exactly what needs to go where, nothing would have been finished,and on time, and looked as fabulous and picture ready as it did. We would also like to thank Ms. Ashley Spencer for being Ms. Sagely’s right hand throughout the entire thing- helping with delegating, planning, all the Cappy awards and so much more! Thank you Ms. Sherah Williams for printing all the programs. Thank you to all the teachers who showed up to celebrate our students, helped parents navigate the evening and helped students setup, get ready and helped throughout the week and the evening. We also appreciate ms. Natalie Shanks and Ms. Kristi Mowery for sitting with the kids in the maker’s space while they helped make awards for the senior class. Thank you Mr. Jordan McDow and Mr. Casey Sansevieri for speaking and helping with all the things on and off the stage that night. A special thank you to Mr. Andrew Darrow for walking hand and hand all these years with these students, seeing them through capstone, and an epic speech to wrap up your time with the class of 2026! The biggest thank you goes to Braxton Clark and Bryce Wheeler for making our Senior Innovator of the Year Award, our Senior Four Pillars of the Year Award, and all of our Cappy Awards this year. Without all of these people, Vanguard graduation would not be possible! If you see them, please thank them for a job well done!

Vanguard Senior Sunset 2026

Congratulations to these Vanguard award winners! They competed in a design competition to make an exhibit for Discovery Lab Tulsa. We had 6 teams place AND one of the three overall winners. The overall winners will have their exhibit built and displayed for the Tulsa community! Way to go!
