FANTASY FOOTBALL DRAFT DAY AT ANGELO! 🐊

Mrs. Mency, Mrs. O’Connor, and Mrs. Sacco’s 5th-grade classrooms, along with Mr. Kelly, held their annual Gator Fantasy Football Draft today!

Our Gators worked in groups to compare player values, make strategic decisions, and draft their fantasy football teams. In the coming weeks, students will put their math skills to work by calculating the fantasy points earned by each player and determining the weekly winners!

🏈 FOOTBALL FRIDAY AT THE ANGELO SCHOOL! 🐊
Fridays in the fall mean one thing at the Angelo School: our Gators get a visit from the Brockton High School Varsity Football Team! Today, our 5th-grade students, along with the students in Ms. Aguiar’s and Ms. Bendixen’s classrooms enjoyed another fantastic visit from our guest readers.
Our Brockton High athletes read “Ronnie and His Grit” to our students, interacting with them, answering their questions, and sharing their love of reading. Our Gators look forward to these visits every Friday, and our guests certainly did not disappoint!
Let’s give a BIG GATOR SHOUT-OUT to today’s guest readers:
🏈 #5 LB/TE Tyreese Jackson
🏈 #18 WR Chris Africo
🏈 #30 DB Max Raymond
🏈 #50 C Jaeden Cira
🏈 #54 G Samuel Smith
🏈 #79 DT Darren Hibbert
🏈 #87 DE Austin Pina
Thank you to these seven young men for taking time out of their busy schedules to give back to our Angelo School community. They are wonderful examples of Brockton High students who are making a difference in the community while also succeeding on the football field. We wish them and the entire Brockton High football team the very best for the rest of the season!
At Angelo, we love showing our students what it means to demonstrate grit, work hard, and give back to others. These young men are helping us do just that!
BOXERS AND GATORS — TWO GREAT THINGS THAT GO TOGETHER!

Ms. May's 5th grade class completed their first book report of the year! It was a brown paper bag report where the students read their book of choice, and each had to put 5 items in their bag. They did a great job relating their objects to the story and were creative in the way that they presented them to the class.

Looking forward to our BHS Football guest readers visiting our grade 5 classrooms this Friday. Here are a couple photos we didn't share last week of #32 King Alves reading to Mrs. Kirsch's grade 4 students!

BUS SAFETY IS SO IMPORTANT!

Today our Gators practiced Bus Evacuation Drills at the Angelo School! Students learned important bus safety rules, reviewed the various emergency exits available on a school bus, and practiced safely evacuating a bus in the event of an emergency.

Not every Angelo Gator rides the bus to and from school, but every Gator will ride a bus for a field trip at some point during the school year. That’s why it is so important that all of our students know what to do and have the opportunity to practice!

Safety first, Gators!

Our Brockton High School Varsity Football guest readers were back at the Angelo School today, and our Gators were thrilled to see them!

Today, #3 DE Iyanu Johnson, #5 LB/TE Tyreese Jackson, #24 CB/K Rayr Pereira, and #32 S King Alves visited our 4th grade classrooms to interact with our students and read aloud Ronnie and His Grit, a book about NFL Hall of Fame Safety Ronnie Lott.

Once again, there were smiles everywhere! Our Gators absolutely love these visits with the Brockton Boxer football team, and we are so proud of these young men for taking the time to give back to the youth in our city. 🐊🏈

Tonight, the Brockton Boxers take on Catholic Memorial at 6:00 PM at Marciano Stadium!

If you’re heading to the game tonight, be sure to give a LOUD shout-out to these young men who are making a difference both on the field and in our community!

GO BOXERS! 🏈
