Last week, members of the Psi Iota Omega Chapter traveled to Martha’s Vineyard to partner with volunteers at the Island Food Pantry. Through our Our Seniors Initiative, which falls under the sorority’s Empowering Our Families initiative, we assisted 80 seniors with shopping for groceries for the week. In addition to helping them shop, we donated 30 bags filled with personal care and toiletry items to support their daily needs.

In the afternoon, we headed to the Boys & Girls Club to help celebrate the last day of school with a cookout. We engaged with the youth by teaching a dance class on the field, creating artwork alongside these talented young people, and helping them kick off their summer with fun, creativity, and fellowship.

It was a rewarding day of service, connection, and community impact.
