Meet Coach Carter Homles !!!

Coach Holmes enters his second season as the head men's basketball coach. The Bears played a shortened schedule of conference-only games in his first season due to covid 19.

Coach Holmes comes to Brockton College after serving the last two seasons as an assistant men’s basketball coach at Southern California University . Over the last two seasons, the Trojans have made two appearances in the NCAA Tournament and advanced to the Sweet Sixteen round in 2016-17. Carter won NCAA coach of the year , Hugh Durham Award , and North Eastern Athletic Conference Outstanding Coach of the year(NEAC) in the 2016-17 season.

Before Brockton , Carter was the assistant men’s basketball coach at Southern University for two seasons, was a graduate assistant SU for the previous two seasons, and was an assistant coach at Alabama State in 2013-14

During his time as a student-athlete, the Bears won the 2009-2010 North Eastern Athletic Conference (NEAC) regular season championship, and qualified for the conference tournament all four years. Holmes continues to rank in the top 15 of three career categories and five season categories.

The Washington DC native earned his bachelor’s degree from Sports Management in 2014, and earned his master’s degree in coaching and athletic administration from George Washington University in 2016

Mr. Dwayne Johnson

Dwayne Johnson was appointed the Head Athletic Director of Brockton College in August 15th, 2020. He began his career in 2009 at the University of Washington as the head football coach.
During his 8-year employment as head coach, he directed his football team to its first ever first ever Pac-12 conference championship adding 7 all-American athletes to his record.
Johnson graduated from the University of Alabama in 1995, while attending he was a defensive tackle and a starter since his freshman year, earning 4 all-Americans and the player of the year award.
After obtaining a bachelor’s degree in sports management, Johnson decided to declare into the 1995 NFL Draft and signed with the Philadelphia Eagles, winning 4 championships with the team. He retired in 2008 to then accept the sport as Head Athletic Director at the University of Washington.
His duties included guiding the sports teams to success and managing the sport facilities. Dwayne Johnson and his wife Ella Johnson have one child, Bella, 19.
