The Schoolhouse is a preschool for children ages 2-5 which focuses on academics, life skills, socialization, and Kindergarten readiness. Our School-Age and Summer Camp programs allow children to attend as needed. We welcome 2 year-olds to an exciting program, which helps them feel safe and secure in their new school environment. Their days focus on playing safely, learning about their world, and cooperating with friends. For 3 and 4 year-olds, theme weeks provide an interest-based and hands-on approach to learning. Children are involved in cooking, life-skill lessons, simulations, exercises, games, arts & crafts, and science & nature as well as other activities on a weekly basis. Our Kindergarten Meetings, Workshops, and Visits are designed to foster confidence in preschoolers as they go off to school. Our Summer Program is filled with arts & crafts, sports & games, skits based on stories, field trips, swimming and science & nature. Open enrollment allows you to join us as you wish. Stop in and visit anytime, no appointment necessary.

Our Bugs and Critters got busy doing laundry today using scrub boards, plungers, and irons—who knew laundry could be this much fun?! 🧺💦
There was lots of soap and scrubbing to make their clothes look nice and clean!

Our Great Big Buglets put on an adorable performance of a theatre called “Are My Kittens Hiding?”! They had so much fun bringing the story to life as Emma searched high and low for her missing kittens.🐾

🎭 What a special day for our Bugs and Critters! Today we saw a Kids on the Block puppet show that introduced us to four new friends — Mark, Mel, Renaldo, and Brenda. We learned that Mark, who has cerebral palsy, can still play soccer in his wheelchair ⚽ and that Renaldo, who is blind, uses a Braille watch to tell time ⌚. We loved learning about kindness, inclusion, and how everyone can do amazing things in their own way!

Mr. Electric taught us all about electricity at his science lab today! It was incredible—so many fun experiments and “wow” moments. ⚡️🔬

Our Bugs performed a theater show for us today called Goodnight Gorilla—and those animals were so sneaky! Such a fun performance and a great job by our Bugs! 🦍🌙🐘

The Schoolhouse Zookeepers were hard at work today! They fed the animals, cleaned the zoo, and completed health checks to make sure everyone was happy and healthy. It was a fun and busy day! 🐾🦒🐒

The Schoolhouse Hair Salon is OPEN! 💇‍♀️💇‍♂️ Our Bugs & Critters had a blast being both the customers and the stylists—washing hair, sitting under the blow dryers, trying fancy new looks, and even getting a shave. Fresh 'doos and big smiles all around! ✂️🫧
