Shout Out to our Sweet Mrs Becky!! She is retiring next week and we want to wish her well! She has been with us for years, and shared her joy of teaching with each classroom! Thank you for your years of service in the early education field and sharing your love of God with the kiddos of BCD!! Whether she was answering the door, changing diapers, reading to babies or stomping to we are the dinosaurs with our preschoolers, Ms Becky did everything “heartily as to the Lord”!
We will miss her kind spirit and want to wish her so much joy and peace through out her retirement years. Well done Mrs Becky! 💙💛🙏🏻r

Delayed pick up time for intermediate kiddos. Will be at the Red Barn as soon as possible. Possible electrical issues inside the school and have kiddos evacuated and buses on standby by for now. Everyone looks safe, just not going anywhere at the moment. 💙💛

Our little learners @ the Red Barn have learned so much this week about Community Helpers! Today Engine #39 from Brock VFD came for a visit!! The kiddos were so eager to learn about firemen and what they do. They had lots of questions and enjoyed getting to watch the fireman gear up!

Then we practiced our monthly fire drill and how to safely and quickly exit the building in an emergency.

Tomorrow, we are excited to welcome several Community Helpers to come and share their “jobs” with us!!

A special acknowledgement to Ms. Jayda Smith (Brock HS), the daughter of our sweet Mrs. Millisa…she has been creating these carabiner rope locks for our gates on the playground to replace our old ones!! Another terrific Friday at the Red Barn!! The weather was perfect for outdoor PUMPKIN activities!! We learned about pumpkins through games, literacy, art and hands on exploration! Teacher Spotlight- MS Kristian Norwood!!. She has been with us for almost a year, having started as a parent ❤️ and the rest is history!!. She is a devoted mother to her own wonderful children who attend Brock ISD and also serves as “school mom” for our toddlers!!. She is pursuing her BS in Early Education and was recently approved for a CDA scholarship through our Texas Rising Star Program!!. Yay!!. Ms Kristian dedicates her heart to the children each day, (they literally leap into her arms each morning). She brings her wisdom and expertise to the table with her teaching approach and shares her passion with her fellow teachers. Please extend your appreciation to Ms Kristian for her exceptional commitment to BCD!!. We look forward to her continued dedication to the hearts and minds of BCD littles for years to come!
