💛 Meet Mrs. Shelby Krone! 💙

If you’ve been around Augusta Schools for a while, chances are you already know and love Mrs. Krone! She has been our Kindergarten teacher for the past 11 years, helping our littlest students take those very first exciting steps into their school adventure.

Originally from White Sulphur Springs, Shelby always knew she wanted to be a teacher. She loves the career, the kids and loves the diversity each day brings!

Mrs. Krone doesn’t just spend her days in the kindergarten classroom. She has also spent the past several years helping coach girls basketball! Her quiet, patient personality mixed with a little competitive spirit makes her the perfect person to help our athletes learn, grow and gain confidence.

When she’s not at school, you’ll probably find Shelby working with her horses, going on 'unknown to her' adventures with her husband Garrett (he's always got something up his sleeve), enjoying the great outdoors or occasionally slinging coffee at Lightning Bug Coffee Shop & Boutique.

She’s also proud to call Augusta home. After her first year here, she quickly fell in love with the community, the mountains, the outdoor beauty and the small-town way of life. She loves that Augusta is the perfect size for her personally, that the mountains are right out the door and that the school is just the right size and the place she truly wants to be.

For 11 years, Shelby has helped countless little learners discover how to read, write, learn and love school—and we’re so thankful for everything she brings to Augusta Schools!

Thank you, Mrs. Krone, for being such an important part of our school! We’re so lucky to have you!

Hey Augusta, SAVE THIS DATE!

Our school's annual OPEN HOUSE is slated for Thursday, September 24. We can't wait to show you all the amazing things we have planned for this year and for you to come meet our teachers, tour the school and help us gain more ideas on how to make Augusta the best small-town school and community in the west. All of the community is invited and we hope to see you there!

Say hello to Kezia Allen! 💙💛

We’re so excited to welcome Miss Allen back to Augusta Schools as our new Music Teacher! She’ll also be teaching extracurricular classes at the high school level.

A true hometown gal, Kezia has spent most of her life in Augusta and is thrilled to be back at the school full-time. Many of you already know her from her years of coaching basketball, and this year she’s adding another sport to the mix! She’ll be taking on the Junior High Volleyball Coach position and is so excited to work with these young athletes.

When she’s not teaching or coaching, Kezia stays busy with her three girls, gardening, making sourdough, enjoying the outdoors and helping wherever she can with the Augusta Youth Center.

You’ll also find her hanging out with her sister at Lightning Bug Coffee Shop & Boutique, making coffee, having fun and making videos for their "Try on Tuesdays". In addition to Lightning Bug you may find her at her family's store, Allen's Manix Store (The Trading Post) helping from time to time.

Kezia loves Augusta because, in her words, "There’s no better small town in Montana, we really are so fortunate to live here!" She loves the people, the community, the beautiful surroundings and all the opportunities that come with small-town life.

We’re SO excited to have music back at Augusta Schools and can’t wait to see all the fun, creativity and energy she will bring to our school this year!
