Assumption Academy is a private, Catholic elementary school located in Broadview Heights, Ohio. The school educates students from preschool to eighth grade and provides a solid academic education in a close-knit, faith-centered environment. Our students consistently score well above the national average on standardized tests, participate in daily religious instruction, weekly mass, and service pro

jects throughout the year. The small size of our school allows our teachers and staff to know each child personally. Consistent with the school's mission statement, emphasis is placed on the whole child. We strive to develop each student's potential and encourage them to use their gifts to become active witnesses for Christ.

Our faculty can’t wait to welcome our students back!

Yesterday, our staff took part in a fun, hands-on activity during their staff meeting focused on finding balance and working together as we prepare for the new school year. Using cups of water and a little bit of science, our teachers gave it a try and had some fun along the way!

Assumption Academy is pleased to welcome Marian Young as our new K–8 Art Teacher! Marian earned her Bachelor of Arts in Visual Arts (K–12) from Mount St. Joseph University and brings 17 years of experience in education to our school community.

With a strong background in painting, drawing, ceramics, and sculpture, Marian is passionate about inspiring creativity and helping students discover their unique artistic talents. She is committed to fostering artistic growth, critical thinking, and reflective learning while creating a classroom environment where every student feels encouraged to explore, create, and express themselves.
