I'm thrilled to share that I have been accepted as an Associate Member of the Orton-Gillingham Academy! There are currently 63 Associate Level members in Virginia.
Every session I've had has helped me learn and grow, so THANK YOU to all the wonderful families I work with each day. Your kids may not know it, but I learn as much from them as they do from me. I'm proud to be part of your team!

The O-G approach is said to be "diagnostic and prescriptive"- meaning that the tutor or teacher learns the needs of the student (diagnosing skills that need work) and then plans the next lesson to address those needs (prescribing the remediation). This means each lesson is custom-designed for the student, and no two students have the exact same path.
