Bristow Middle School

Students in the Careers class at BMS have been studying the manufacturing unit for the last 3 weeks.

They have learned about lean manufacturing by assembling LEGO airplanes. They also learned about CAD (computer-aided design) and created several 3D projects in TinkerCad. They even printed their own keychains with their names on them. And finally, they learned about soldering & welding. They worked so hard & soldered their own personal jitterbugs together.

They also heard from guest speaker Brian Vanzant about the different types of welding & the jobs available in that industry.

Just a quick Sunday night reminder for our 6th-grade parents. If you want to beat the summer rush and get those required 7th-grade shots out of the way, the Oklahoma Caring Van will be at the Middle School tomorrow morning!

In Ms. Capps’ 6th Grade Science class, students are engaging in hands-on learning as they observe and test minerals. By examining properties such as color, luster, hardness, and texture, they are working like real scientists to identify different minerals. These mineral samples were generously donated by the Oklahoma Geological Foundation, helping bring real-world science into the classroom.
