A big congratulations to Alexis Kennedy on being named President of the Tennessee Chapter of SkillsUSA. Kennedy was elected by student members from across the state during the 2026 State Leadership and Skills Conference.

According to its website, “SkillsUSA Tennessee is a student-led Career and Technical Student Organization (CTSO) that prepares middle school, high school, and postsecondary students for success in their future careers. Through hands-on learning, leadership development, and career exploration, SkillsUSA Tennessee empowers students to build the technical skills, confidence, and experience needed.”

In her role as president, Alexis will lead and support student programs, preside over state conferences and meetings, promote and advocate for career and technical education, and connect with members across the state.

Congratulations, Alexis! We are proud to call you a THS Viking!

Seniors who have an appointment scheduled for senior portraits on Thurs., Aug. 13, will report to the auditorium at their scheduled time. Seniors who have not had a photo made and who wish to appear in the yearbook need to make an appointment at Cady.com for Sept. 10.

This will be the last opportunity to appear in the yearbook. Senior photos require a sitting fee; the minimum sitting fee is $29.00. See Ms. Vickers for questions or concerns.

IMPORTANT: When seniors receive their proofs, they must return the portfolio to avoid $150 charge.
