What a few weeks it has been at King University! 🌪️
Our campus community has been busy learning, growing, connecting and representing King in so many different places.
Career Services recently hosted a vendor fair on campus and partnered with JCPenney for a Suit Up event in Johnson City, giving students major discounts on business attire, shoes and accessories to help them prepare for interviews, internships and future careers.
President Tooley continued his “Life of the Mind” series with Part 2 during Convocation, encouraging our community to approach learning with thoughtful, creative and curious minds.
King also made an appearance at Bristol Motor Speedway! Aaron Blake sang the National Anthem at the Food City 300, while President Tooley opened the Food City 500 in prayer.
The King Institute for Faith & Culture welcomed Amanda Held Opelt, Jeffrey Munroe and Tom Gulotta for conversations that encouraged our community to explore faith, culture and the Christian mind. Gulotta will be speaking tonight on “Buechner’s Magic Kingdom” at 5:30pm and Munroe will be speaking about “Frederick Beuchner: A Life in the Books” at 7:00pm, both at State Street United Methodist Church.
And our newest Tornado traveled to Washington, D.C., where they had the opportunity to learn, experience a new environment and build connections beyond campus.
These are the moments that make up life at King — opportunities to learn, connect, serve and grow together. We’re grateful for all that has been happening across our Tornado community! ❤️💙
