A few of the students from Mountain Mission School had the chance to chat (and even take selfies) with NBA coach and player Jerry West at The Olde Farm Golf Club on Monday, Sept. 10.

Fun Fact: West holds the NBA record for the highest points-per-game average in a playoff series (46.3) and played in nine NBA finals.

It takes a ton of patience and dedication to make our greens and fairways look (and stay) this gorgeous ... especially for The American Legends for Mountain MIssion Kids charity golf tournament, which brought more than 4,000 people to The Olde Farm Golf Club on Monday, Sept. 10.

If you know or see a member of our grounds crew or staff, please be sure to thank them for all of their hard work for making this once-in-a-lifetime charity golf tournament a memorable one!

These are the [silly] faces behind The American Legends — the students of Mountain Mission School. 😁

On Monday, Sept. 10, The American Legends for Mountain Mission Kids grossed $56.6 million in support of the Mountain Mission School endowment fund, which supports the school.

The total is the new largest single-day charitable gift in PGA TOUR history, significantly exceeding the previous gross record of $15 million set in 2010 by The Olde Farm Golf Club's Big 3 event, which featured Jack Nicklaus, Gary Player and the late Arnold Palmer.
