❄️ With temperatures expected to drop significantly on Sunday -- possibly as low as 5 degrees -- and plenty of winter still ahead, we want to ensure every student is prepared for the cold.

If your child, or a child you know, is in need of winter weather gear (such as a warm coat, hat, or gloves), please contact your child’s principal, the Communities in Schools liaison at your child’s school, or Dr. Keith Perrigan at [email protected]

Along with our wonderful community partners, we are here to help and will make sure those needs are met for our students.

Today, senior Wyatt N. traveled to Patrick Henry High School to compete in the Appalachian Area Small Engine CDE after winning the federation contest last week. Wyatt earned an impressive 2nd place in a very close competition—only 18 points separated 1st and 2nd! We are so proud of Wyatt for representing John S. Battle and giving it his all!
