06/12/2026

We are SO proud of all of our teams and the hard work they put in this week! 👏💙

🔧 Ag Mechanics finished 17th out of 45 teams

🌿 Environmental & Natural Resources placed 5th with only a 3-person team!
• Xander M – 10th High Individual
• Graydan P – 11th High Individual
• Abram W – 17th High Individual

🐴 Hippology placed 19th out of 45 teams

🥛 Milk Quality & Products (a new contest for us!) placed 10th

🐾 Veterinary Science placed 6th out of 34 teams, with Montana L earning 8th High Individual!

What an incredible week at the 100th Virginia FFA Convention at Virginia Tech! So proud of these students and everything they accomplished! 💛💙

Today our Hippology team took the arena and we couldn’t be more proud of the way they represented us! Now we wait (impatiently 😅) for results in the morning.

We also celebrated a HUGE accomplishment—6 of our seniors earned their Virginia FFA State Degree! This is such a well-deserved honor that reflects countless hours of dedication and hard work.

Early morning tomorrow as we gear up to hear all the results from this week’s contests… let’s go, Battle! 💙💛

Ag Mechanics put in a strong performance today—we’re excited to see results on Thursday! This is one of the toughest contests, with a 100-question exam, welding a butt joint, completing an electrical switch, and working through blueprints. 💪⚙️

Our Environmental & Natural Resources team also did a great job today. Unfortunately, due to unforeseen circumstances and not having a full team of four, they won’t be advancing to Day 2—but we are incredibly proud of their hard work and dedication! 🌿👏

To top it off, our Junior Soils team was recognized tonight, receiving their 2nd place state plaque from their success back in November! 🏆

Always proud of these kiddos and everything they accomplish! 💙💛

Last night we were honored to receive our Superior Chapter Award! We also found out our Vet Science team placed in the Top 10 and advanced to Day 2! 🎉🐾

They competed this morning in the hands-on practicum and team problem, and now we’re waiting on results 🤞

Our Ag Mechanics team was up bright and early heading to their contest, and this afternoon our Environmental & Natural Resources team takes on Day 1! 🌱⚙️

What an incredible couple of days so far—so proud of this group! 💙💛

We made it to Blacksburg for the 100th Virginia FFA Convention! Vet Science is kicking things off today with their Day 1 test—we’ll find out tonight during session if they’ve landed in the top 10 and are moving on to Day 2 🤞🏼 Milk Quality is also competing today, which is a brand new contest for us! And tonight, we’ll be walking across the stage to receive our Superior Chapter Award. Go Battle! 💚

Reminder for our FFA Banquet tomorrow evening! 💙💛

Students, please make sure you come dressed appropriately for the event. Business casual attire is encouraged, or you may wear your Official FFA Dress:
• FFA jacket
• White button-up shirt
• FFA tie/scarf
• Black pants/skirt
• Black shoes

We are excited to celebrate all of the accomplishments from this year and recognize our members, supporters, and seniors. We look forward to seeing everyone there!

They’ve put in the work all year… now it’s time to celebrate it. 🌾💙💛

From long practices and competitions to early mornings and late nights, our John S. Battle FFA members have truly given it their all. This banquet is all about recognizing their dedication, leadership, and growth this year.

We hope you’ll come out and support these students as they’re honored for everything they’ve accomplished—because they deserve it 👏
