Red Cedar School

Red Cedar School Red Cedar School is an independent kindergarten through middle school, located north of the village of Bristol at the edge of the Green Mountains.

At Red Cedar, students develop a love of learning within a community that values mutual respect and honors the voice of each individual. We support intellectual curiosity, critical thinking and communication skills through an interactive curriculum that emphasizes authentic and rigorous learning. We foster personal and social responsibility through a culture of respect, trust and engagement. We he

lp students become active citizens of the local and world community. Our small classes emphasize inquiry, writing, discussion and hands-on learning. The school also specializes in outdoor education, field research, community involvement, wilderness trips, the arts and travel study. Resources include an outdoor classroom, a barn, gardens, networked computers, library, science lab, art studio and a bus.
