Here are 2 US belt buckles I found while metal detecting at various Civil War campsites. The one up top is in pretty good condition, while the one on the bottom didn’t hold up so well. If I didn’t find it, it probably would have fully rotted away in the near future. Although it’s in rough shape, it definitely does have character! Both are now properly preserved from any further deterioration!

Here is a hand shot of some CS buttons my friends and I found while metal detecting around an old plantation that was used as a Confederate camp during the American Civil War! It was common practice for soldiers to camp in and around plantations, and seek refuge there during the wartime. This spot produced a ton of different finds, including the 1685 cob I posted a while back! A silver washed South Carolina button that is not pictured also came out of this spot, totaling 7 CS buttons! RelicRiley

Here is a hand shot of the finds from metal detecting at the 1900’s mansion in my recent video. Definitely a great variety of items, and I was super excited to have recovered what I did. My favorite find of the haul is definitely the locket!

I got permission to metal detect at a mansion that dates back to the early 1900’s and made some amazing finds.

This property was absolutely loaded with history, so let me know if you want to see me go back for a part 2!
