Attention Motorcyclists! 🏍️

Join #38 at the Great Lakes National Cemetery. They’ll gather at 8 AM sharp, with kickstands up at 9 AM. This ride is approximately 45 minutes long, taking us through Holly and Milford along Milford Rd, all the way to the Michigan War Dog Memorial. Meet in the front office parking lot of the Great Lakes Cemetery. Don’t be late!

What a wonderful day for Rolling Thunder Inc. Michigan Chapter 5 at the White Lake Township Firefighters Local 5295 Open House today! We met so many wonderful people who wanted to learn about what we do. The list of businesses who want to assist us in helping veterans grew today by leaps and bounds!! Students from the local high schools and around the community want to be involved with our mission. Many that we spoke to had no idea on the number of Pow/Mia that are still unaccounted for. They want to be involved with the Wreaths Across America at White Lake Cemetery program. The youth Scouting groups want to help. Thanks for the support from our firefighters and White Lake Township Police. The support from our township officials, including Trustee Voorheis, Liz Smith, White Lake Twp. Trustee and Supervisor Rik Kowall who stopped by today, along with Anthony Noble, White Lake Township Clerk and all of the other members of the council is amazing. Thank you to all of the teachers who stopped by today and wanted to learn more, along with all of the citizens of this wonderful community! We can’t do what we do without you! Thank you to the members who have represented the chapter at these events and helped with the task of setting up and loading back up. And last but not least, thank you Sherrie O'Parka for all of your help and support with all of this. You have donated product and your time. It is very much appreciated. 🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸

Brothers & Sisters,

I’m reaching out to ask for your help in giving a fallen soldier the final es**rt he deserves.

Cpl. Vester Hicks, Jr., U.S. Army, of Wyandotte, was just 17 years old when he was KIA during the Korean War. After being MIA for more than 75 years, Cpl. Hicks was finally returned home to Michigan this morning. 🇺🇸

On Friday, September 25, Cpl. Hicks will depart Czopek Funeral Home in Wyandotte at 11:00 AM for his final journey to Great Lakes National Cemetery, where graveside services will be held at 1:00 PM.

We are asking our VFW Riders, American Legion Riders, Patriot Guard Riders, and other veteran motorcycle organizations to come together and provide a motorcycle es**rt for Cpl. Hicks and his family from Wyandotte to Great Lakes National Cemetery. 🏍️🇺🇸

He left home as a 17-year-old soldier. More than 75 years later, we finally have the opportunity to bring him the rest of the way home.

If your Riders group can participate, please let me know and please share this with your membership and other Riders organizations.

Nobody is left behind. Nobody is forgotten.
