“Wait… Foundations is a charter school. What does that actually mean?”

It’s one of the questions we hear from families all the time!

Foundations Academy is a tuition-free public charter school serving students in grades K–8 in Brighton. Charter schools are public schools that families can choose for their children. They are held accountable to public-school standards while having additional flexibility in how they operate and serve their students.

At Foundations, that means combining strong academics with our Moral Focus program to help students grow both academically and in character.

No private-school tuition. No need to live in a specific neighborhood attendance boundary to simply express interest and apply. Just another public-school option families can consider when deciding what environment is right for their child. Enrollment is subject to availability, and a lottery is used when applications during Open Enrollment exceed available seats.

It’s Back to School Night! 🦅

Falcon Families, we can’t wait to welcome you to Curriculum Night TONIGHT!

📚 Tonight, Thursday, August 27
⏰ 4:30–6:00 PM

Come meet your child’s teachers, learn more about their classroom and curriculum, and hear what’s in store for an amazing school year!

Teachers will be giving short presentations at 4:30, 5:00, and 5:30 PM. Mrs. Norris-Buck will also be in the gym at 4:35 PM sharing our goals for the school year, followed by a special informational session on 3rd & 4th grade departmentalization at 5:30 PM.

We’re excited to see all of our Falcon families tonight! See you soon!

Congratulations to our amazing students, dedicated staff, and wonderful families on a successful first day! From big smiles and new beginnings to a few butterflies along the way, today was full of excitement, learning, and memories in the making.
