Brighton Airport (45G) has become a regular part of our lives since we started showing up and giving a very amateur hand with things. The people let us hang out and help, and we’re happy to be there. Brighton Flying Club on the field is a great group of people; same for EAA Chapter 384, Brighton Air Force, Recreational Aviation Foundation , and more! There’s even a Young Eagles event coming up 6/20/2026.

We went to a Wednesday night meeting and Tj Johnson gave a great presentation about STOL aircraft! We even liked the nerdy parts.

Welcome to ! EntireFlight made sure we had an excellent E6B, plotter, log sheets, and knee board to start our flight training journeys. The user manual is easy enough for a kid to practice with, and the plotter even went to school to show other kids what a VFR map looks like and how to read it!

It’s another beautiful day of volunteering to clean an airplane! Juliet the is in her hangar having her and a couple things fixed up by a super awesome A&P who was happy to let us watch and work. I got a new water sprayer! I made sure to keep the water out of the pilot’s cameras. Thanks, Mr. Greg!

Our visit to the was full of favorites! The A-10 is probably AvDad’s favorite warplane. There’s too many cool facts about the plane and its arsenal to fit here, but did a great skit about GE for some of them!

Our hearts go out to everyone impacted by Spirit Airlines, who “flew west” today. Blue skies and fair winds. 🛫

Some of the displays at the National Museum of the USAF are touch-friendly, so we took this opportunity to rest on one of the most important aircraft parts!

We here at add to our knowledge using good ol’ elbow grease to earn opportunities. We’re “broke girls with big dreams”, so if a hangar is full of leaves and oily airplanes, we’re on it! The biggest tip? Never expect something in return for pitching in. is a community where being good neighbors and friends is important. Someday, we’ll be paying it forward.
