Saint Columbkille Partnership School is a private, Catholic lab school located in Brighton, Massachusetts. The school has a strong tradition educating children from age 2.9 through grade eight. Catholic schools have long been serving and welcoming individuals from diverse backgrounds, celebrating that diversity. Today, Saint Columbkille continues in this tradition welcoming families and students from over 35 different countries. In 2018, Saint Columbkille Partnership School was designated as a laboratory school of Boston College’s Lynch School of Education and Human Development. The majority of our teachers and administrators are credentialed with graduate degrees fully funded by Boston College. A big thank you to our Saint Columbkille families for making our 7th Annual Chili Cook Off such a success! 🌶️

From homemade chili and tasty desserts to drinks, chips, and all the extras, we are so grateful for the many ways our families helped make this special tradition possible. Our teachers and staff certainly enjoyed every bite!

A special message from our Chili Cookoff coordinator:

🌶️ Our Annual Chili Cook off is almost here! 🌶️

On Monday, our teachers and staff will gather for one of our favorite Saint Columbkille traditions, and we need our families to help make it happen! Families can sign up to donate chili, beverages, chips, desserts, and other goodies for our staff to enjoy.

Last Friday, Saint Columbkille Partnership School celebrated our 2nd Annual Celebration of Reading Day! 📚

The Saint Columbkille Community came together to recognize the hard work our students put into reading over the summer and to celebrate the ways stories can inspire us.

Students shared projects including redesigned book covers and alternate endings. Some of our younger students even dressed as characters from their favorite books. We were also grateful to welcome guest readers from the Brighton community to spend time with our 2.9 through 4th grade students.

Reading has a special place in our school’s history. Saint Columbkille was a scholar and scribe who copied religious texts and helped preserve the written tradition of the early Irish Church. Our students carried on that tradition in their own way through a day filled with books and creativity.

We’re grateful to everyone who helped make it such a wonderful celebration!

Today, on the 25th anniversary of September 11, we remember the lives lost and honor the countless people who stepped forward to help others in a time of unimaginable need.

Our Loyola Academy students reflected on the Jesuit call to be men and women for others as they learned about the heroes of September 11 who put the needs of others before their own. They learned about people around the world who supported Americans in the days that followed and reflected on how we can be men and women for others in our own school, community, and homes.

Our 5th graders learned the story of Welles Crowther, known as the “Man in the Red Bandana,” who helped others reach safety at the World Trade Center. After watching a documentary about Welles, students wrote thank you cards to his mother, honoring his courage and selflessness.

May we always remember the helpers, and may their example inspire us to look for ways to serve others each day. 💚

We are one month away from one of our favorite fall traditions: Grandparents & VIP Day! 🍂💛

We look forward to welcoming our grandparents and special guests to Saint Columbkille Partnership School for a day that celebrates the special people who are part of our students’ lives. These photos are a few snapshots from last October’s celebration.

Today we gathered as a school community for our first school Mass of the year. Our Grade 8 students planned and led the Mass, and Fr. Fitzgerald welcomed our students and staff as we begin our 125th year.

Together, we prayed for a year filled with faith, learning, and community. We ended Mass by singing “Go Make a Difference,” a fitting reminder of how we hope to live out our mission each day.

Thank you to the families who joined us for Mass and stayed for our reception. What a wonderful way to begin the school year together! 💚

We can’t believe it was already one week ago that we gathered on the field for our Popsicle Party! 🍧💚

It was the perfect way to wrap up summer, reconnect with friends, meet teachers, and get excited for the school year ahead. Thank you to all of our families who joined us and helped make the afternoon so much fun!

Looking back at these smiles, we think our community was more than ready for the start of school!

Our youngest students are officially back! 🎉💚

Our early childhood classrooms were filled with big smiles, new friends, and lots of excitement as our 2.9, K0, and K1 students started their first day at Saint Columbkille Partnership School.

We’re so happy to welcome our youngest students and their families to the 125th school year. We can’t wait to see all they learn and discover this year!

Yesterday, we kicked off the 125th school year at Saint Columbkille Partnership School! 🎉

We were so happy to welcome our students in Grades K2 through 8 back to school and begin a new year together.

From meeting teachers and reconnecting with friends to learning our S.O.A.R. expectations, our first day was filled with plenty of big smiles. We’re excited for all that’s ahead as we celebrate 125 years of our Saint Columbkille community!

Our first full staff professional development day is in the books, and we are getting ready to welcome our students back! 📚🎒

We began our day with Mass, celebrated by Fr. Steven, grounding us in faith as a community. Staff then reflected on our mission, reviewed our strategic plan and progress from last year, set goals for the year ahead, and spent time in grade band meetings and student support planning.

As we celebrate 125 years of Saint Columbkille, there is so much to look forward to. Our staff is ready, our goals are set, and we cannot wait to begin a new year together!
