USU Extension- Box Elder County Though more than 100 years old, USU Extension is as vital as ever.

BOX ELDER COUNT EXTENSION-
Founded in 1914 as part of the Smith-Lever Act, USU Extension plays a primary role in helping Utah State University fulfill its land-grant mission.

🐑🐐We had an amazing time at the kickoff workshop to our sheep and goat series! Special thanks to ReproScan for loaning the ultrasound and display screen and to all the speakers including Justin Crego and Dr Kayelin Spiker with Flock Fertility Services for doing a great job teaching all about reproduction. We had an awesome afternoon of hands on education. We’re looking forward to our next workshop in November, where we’ll cover sheep and goat marketing and carcass evaluations. Register today- the November workshop has a cap of 30 to ensure time and space for each attendee to learn.

Keri Bean is the new Home and Community Assistant Professor for Utah State University in Box Elder County. Her specialties include nutrition, canning, sewing, and relationships.

Prior to joining USU, Keri taught Family and Consumer Sciences in Weber School District for nearly a decade. She is particularly passionate about sewing and cooking – with emphasis in addressing food allergies and other dietary needs. She looks forward to building strong connections across the area.

Outside of work, Keri enjoys quilt block classes, date nights with her husband, and reading a good book with her cat Tonx on her lap.
