Happy Weekend, Boaters! We encourage everyone to stay alert and watch for buoys, markings, and channel crossings on the water. Use marked crossings only. Proceed with caution when you notice a change in signage and you see dredging equipment and construction equipment on the water.

Please use Slow/No Wake speeds around active construction on the water.

Dredging in Barnegat Bay is relocating to Harvey Cedars north of the Rt 72 bridge. Work will continue in the area for approximately 2 weeks. Mariners are advised to be aware of the construction equipment, signage and pipe markings.

Pipelines can be difficult to see and may traverse areas outside of marked channels traditionally used by local boaters. The public are advised to use SLOW/NO WAKE speeds, exercising extreme caution when operating around the crossings and the dredging equipment.

Vessels can utilize channel 63 to contact the equipment, as necessary.

Be advised!

Dredging is complete in the Mill Creek Channel, and dredge pipelines have been relocated to the Margos Channel, just north of the Route 72 Bridge. Work will continue in this channel for the next few days.

Pipelines can be difficult to see and may traverse areas outside of marked channels. Boaters and Jet Skis are urged to use extreme caution when operating around marked pipelines and should stay away from all floating equipment. Use extreme caution and SLOW/No Wake Speeds through the construction zone. Use channel 63 to contact the equipment, as necessary.
