Happy Juneteenth!
In January 1865, Congress proposed the Thirteenth Amendment to the United States Constitution for the national abolition of slavery. By June 1865, almost all of the enslaved population had been freed by the victorious Union Army or by state abolition laws. Juneteenth is celebrated each year to commemorate the end of slavery in the United States.

Memorial Day is a federal holiday in the United States of America. After World War I, Memorial Day evolved from honoring just Civil War casualties to commemorating American military personnel who died in all wars.

Patriot's Day is a state holiday in Massachusetts that is held and commemorated every Third Monday in April each year. It's in remembrance of the events of April 19, 1775, which culminated in the Battles of Lexington and Concord. The Boston Marathon also runs coinciding with this day.
