The sun has gone down. Now what? Why not explore a new skill with a little personal tech challenge?
Step 1: Write down, or copy and paste, or photograph all the steps below in case this facebook posting mysteriously goes somewhere and you're not able to find it again. (It happens!)
Step 2: Go to this website https://www.edx.org/
Step 3: Scroll all the way down to the bottom of the edx webpage and find the "About" link. (Hint: lower left)
Step 4: Click the "About" link.
Step 5: Find the heading on the page that says, "What is edX?"
Step 6: Close the edX webpage.
Step 7: Return to this posting on SAGE's page.
Step 8: Post a comment on this Facebook post about your experience. Were the instructions vague or clear, easy or hard? What year was EdX founded and by whom?
This mini-tech-challenge is a response to the interest expressed on 9/24 by a few of our "Planning the Future of SAGE" participants. One SAGE member noted that we can *audit-for-free* many of the classes at EdX, but there is a specific set of steps you must follow to find them and to audit them for free.
If you were able to follow the steps above, you can likely follow the steps that will lead you to the audit-for-free classes.
The best jumping off point for many of us will be How to Learn Online. Remember, you can audit for no cost, so don't pay any money until you learn how! Let us know if you want to know more about the "How to Learn Online" class or any of the others.
