🎨 SCVTHS Art Spotlight! 🎨
Three of our talented students had their artwork featured in a regional youth art exhibition in Frenchtown, NJ, on July 11th and 12th!
The exhibit, hosted for artists ages 2–18, took place at The Mix—a fantastic local gallery space that hosts vibrant art shows throughout the year.

SCVTHS Students Earn Honors at FBLA National Conference
- Nine members of the Somerset County Vocational & Technical High School (SCVTHS), chapter of the Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA) recently competed in multiple events during the FBLA National Leadership Conference held from June 29th to July 2nd in San Antonio, Texas.

Nine members of the Somerset County Vocational & Technical High School (SCVTHS), chapter of the Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA) recently competed in multiple events during the FBLA National Leadership Conference held from June 29th to July 2nd in San Antonio, Texas.

Nearly 16,000 students from more than 2,100 middle schools and high schools from throughout the United States and Canada competed in 108 business-related events. Students also had the opportunity to engage in over 200 learning workshops and meet with employers and representatives from colleges and universities.

Siyaa Choudhary of Somerset earned 3rd place in the Healthcare Administration competition. Ms. Choudhary outperformed a strong field in a contest that tests competitors on their knowledge of medical terminology, office procedures, and administrative functions within a healthcare setting SCVTHS’s other top ten finisher was Jacob Berman of Bridgewater, who placed 8th in the Human Resource Management competition. This contest focuses on HR skills including staffing, training, employee relations, and performance management.

“This year’s National Leadership Conference showcased the incredible talent and dedication of our student members,” said FBLA President & CEO Jennifer Woods. “From analytical thinking to dynamic communication, they demonstrated the skills that will shape tomorrow’s workforce. These students leave San Antonio not only with well-earned recognition, but also with new connections, confidence, and a clearer path toward their future careers.”

Somerset County Vocational and Technical High School Celebrates Graduation
- One hundred and forty-seven students enrolled in Career and Technical Education programs and the Academy for Health and Medical Sciences at Somerset County Vocational and Technical High School (SCVTHS) received their diplomas during the Commencement ceremony held on Monday, June 22.

The Salutatorians for the Class of 2026:

Somerset County Vocational & Technical High School Students Win National Medals
– Students from Somerset County Vocational & Technical High School (SCVTHS) attended the SkillsUSA National Leadership & Skills Conference held June 1-5 in Atlanta, Georgia. SkillsUSA is a not-for-profit association that serves more than 300,000 middle school, high school, college and postsecondary students in trade, technical, and skilled service instructional programs. The organization, supported by more than
850 companies, trade associations and labor unions, emphasizes respect for the dignity of work, professional ethics, workmanship, scholarship, and safety.

Over 6,800 students, each a state champion from around the country, competed in Championship-level events that covered skilled and technical sciences, leadership development, and occupation related skills.

New Jersey sent 181 competitors to the event, and the State Team had one of their best showings ever, finishing 10th in the nation by earning 46 medals. Of those, SCVTHS students earned 23 medals, including thirteen gold medals, seven silver medals, and three bronze medals.
