🎃🔨 Who needs a pumpkin coloring page when you can dissect the real thing?!
Our little scientists in the Discovery Zone got their hands dirty as they hammered, explored, squished, and dissected pumpkins! They discovered the different parts of a pumpkin, felt the slimy pulp, investigated the seeds, and learned about what makes up this favorite fall fruit!
At Stellar Academy, we believe children learn so much more by DOING rather than simply watching or coloring.
A coloring page can show a child what a pumpkin looks like, but hands-on exploration allows them to discover how it feels, what's inside, how it's made, and why!
Through our Naturalistic Intelligence, one of the multiple intelligences we embrace at Stellar Academy, our children are developing observation skills, curiosity, problem-solving abilities, and a deeper understanding of the natural world.
This is what science looks like in preschool! It's messy, exciting, full of questions, and most importantly, meaningful.
Because at Stellar Academy, we don't just teach children about the world. We give them opportunities to explore it!

DINOSAUR DETECTIVES IN DISCOVERY!

Imagine walking into science class and finding mystery dinosaur footprints waiting for you!

Our little paleontologists entered Discovery to find dinosaur and reptile boxes, magnifying glasses, and plates of Play-Doh stamped with footprints of all different shapes and sizes. Their mission? Investigate the tracks and figure out which dinosaur made each one!

Activities like this are so much more than just FUN. As our preschoolers compared footprints, examined dinosaurs, tested their ideas, and changed their guesses, they were building observation skills, critical thinking, problem-solving, visual discrimination, and early scientific reasoning.

They were also learning an important part of science: **look closely, ask questions, make a prediction, and use the clues to find an answer.

At Stellar Academy, we want children to walk into a classroom and immediately think, “WHAT are we doing today?!"

When we create an environment that sparks curiosity, learning happens naturally.

TOMORROW’S THE DAY! Dolly all day long at Stellar!
Whether it’s your outfit, your shoes, your big hair, your sparkle, or simply your attitude, we’re celebrating Dolly Parton all day long!

But Dolly was always about so much more than rhinestones and country music. She believed deeply in kindness, generosity, dreaming big, and giving children opportunities to succeed. Through her Imagination Library, she helped put hundreds of millions of books into the hands of young children because she believed every child deserved the chance to fall in love with reading.
And maybe that’s the part of Dolly we love most. Her attitude toward life: be kind, be yourself, dream big, work hard, and lift others up is so much of what we believe at Stellar Academy.

We want our children to grow up knowing that being smart and successful matters, but how you treat people matters just as much. A little kindness, encouragement, and belief in someone else can make a huge difference. As Dolly said, “If you see someone without a smile, give them one of yours.”

Dolly used her success to make the world a little brighter for others, especially children. That kind of heart is something worth celebrating. Tomorrow, we’ll celebrate the Dolly way with lots of sparkle, lots of smiles, a little country music, and a whole lot of kindness.
