Alhamdulillah for the blessing to complete Umrah today 💙 I was already exhausted and recovering from a brief flu, but Allah eased the process, Alhamdulillah. I made duaa for all of you, for the specific DM requests too, and for Allah to bless all of the work that we do Insha’Allah. 🤲🏼

Always love being back home around my “family” at IScGKC, the school I grew up in and taught in, Alhamdulillah 💙 Last week, we began my FITRAH Framework training for classroom management with the first session of 5 sessions scheduled for this semester, Insha’Allah. We discussed expressions of the child’s natural fitrah and reflected on ways we might nurture vs suppress it in classrooms. Excited to continue working and growing with everyone Insha’Allah! 💙

I’ve been asked several times if I can give workshops in Arabic, and my answer is always, “I can give in عربيزي or in Arabish.” 😅 While I am fluent in Arabi, Alhamdulillah, it’s a challenge to give training 100% in Arabic, so I accommodate such needs at schools such as Mecca Center Quran Blossoms in Chicago by speaking in mostly Arabic with some English and having printouts in English with Arabic translation, as well as a translation guide for key vocabulary and concepts from the slide decks. If you’re interested in عربيزي/Arabish services, let me know! 😅 Thank you for inviting me to spend the day with all of you at The Mecca Center ! Everyone was so kind, participating, and clearly caring to give their work their best 💙 Beautiful building and prayer room too, Masha’Allah!
