Funny story about marcescence… I originally tried taking this before and after with an oak 🤣🫠🤦🏻♀️ luckily right around that time had done a cool reel all about marcescence which triggered my brain to remember this reel I was making won’t work with an oak bc they experience MARCESCENCE! This is a phenomenon when deciduous trees hold their old leaves through the winter. So yeah, wouldn’t work for this one but now you got a funny reel AND learned something! Just another day here at CLN!

Abby and Jan grew up playing under and swinging from the warm embracing branches of this beautiful American Sycamore (Platanus occidentalis). It’s a heirloom focal point and centerpiece and holds so many memories for the County Line Family.
