This year’s Parade of Champions was a great success, thanks to the efforts of our Planning Committee, staff members, students, and the family members who came to cheer on their champion students. We are incredibly proud to continue this tradition and deeply appreciative of our supportive community for making it possible.

Quarter Mile Lane School's Dr. Sierra-Turner and her colleagues attended the NJTESOL Conference in New Brunswick, NJ, on May 19, 2026. Dr. Turner emphasized that "Midwifing the future" for Multilingual Learners (MLLs) in New Jersey means embracing bilingualism as a transformative asset. By adopting an asset-based approach, educators in Cumberland County and statewide honor students' primary languages while fostering English acquisition and academic success.
