Bridgeton Public Schools

Last school year, excited first graders at Indian Ave embarked on an adventure to the Touch Museum in Philadelphia! The lively atmosphere was filled with curiosity and wonder as they explored hands-on exhibits, learning and discovering new things together. It was a memorable day of exploration and fun!

Our next job fair is this Thursday at Bridgeton High School.

On May 5th, the "Celebrating Her" event was held at Cherry Street Elementary School. They honored mothers and mother figures with a picnic in the back of the school. There was plenty of food, games, a flower arrangement tutorial, and more.

The Boys and Girls Club generously gifted basketballs and volleyballs to the boys at Indian Ave just in time for summer! Our students were excited and appreciated the support from the Boys and Girls Club.

The National Junior Honor Society held its induction ceremony for the West Avenue School students. The ceremony is to commemorate the start of the new members’ time as part of the NJHS.

Quarter Mile Lane School students and staff enjoyed a fun time at their "Pie Your Teacher" fundraiser. Students enjoyed a chance to pie their "favorite" teacher. It was all in fun and plenty of laughs.

Earlier this year, there was a Family Paint Night on May 12 at Cherry Street School, where families came together to promote educational involvement and celebrate creativity.

The Buckshutem Road Bulldogs showcased their incredible talents at Buck’s Got Talent. This year, students performed songs, dances, magic, art, and hair demonstrations. These students are truly talented. Thank you to the staff who helped organize this event.

Earlier this year, students in Pathway’s 21st CCLC at Broad Street School made great use of the short heat wave that hit our community. Staff and students constructed solar ovens with boxes and aluminum foil to make s'mores.
