This year’s Parade of Champions was a great success, thanks to the efforts of our Planning Committee, staff members, students, and the family members who came to cheer on their champion students. We are incredibly proud to continue this tradition and deeply appreciative of our supportive community for making it possible.

Students in the 4th and 5th grades joined together at Quarter Mile Lane School to compete in this year’s District 24 Math Challenge. The competition was fierce this year. Congratulations to all of our winners and participants.

The Bridgeton Public Schools Food Services held its annual staff health & wellness fair. Attendees were able to shop for free produce, enjoy food made by our chef and other cooks, participate in raffles, giveaways, and so much more.

The Community & Parental Involvement Specialists held the last Parent University of the 2025-2026 School Year. Throughout the year, the CPIS department hosted themed events to help parents address various issues they might face.

4th and 5th-grade students from all K-8 schools participated in the 2026 Olympic Day, showcasing their athletic and teamwork skills through games and prizes. Congratulations to the winners, and a big thanks to the school staff, BHS student volunteers, and food service and facilities staff!

Quarter Mile Lane School's Dr. Sierra-Turner and her colleagues attended the NJTESOL Conference in New Brunswick, NJ, on May 19, 2026. Dr. Turner emphasized that "Midwifing the future" for Multilingual Learners (MLLs) in New Jersey means embracing bilingualism as a transformative asset. By adopting an asset-based approach, educators in Cumberland County and statewide honor students' primary languages while fostering English acquisition and academic success.
