Incredibly tough to balance everything as a student-athlete, appreciate all the hardwork 🫡

We recently had an incredible year for UB Athletics, and we wanted to spotlight the student-athletes who made it one to remember. Balancing the demands of a Nursing major while competing at the highest level of collegiate athletics is not easy, but for sophomore Lindsey Rywolt, it's all part of the journey. 💪💜

A Stratford native, Lindsey chose University of Bridgeport to stay close to home while pursuing her dream of a career in healthcare. Along the way, she's helped build UB's inaugural women's Wrestling program into a competitive force, earning Scholar All-America honors, a trip to the first-ever NCAA Women's Wrestling Championships, and a standout 24–7 season record.

From becoming a state and New England champion in high school to pinning a two-time national runner-up on national television, Lindsey continues to prove what determination, resilience, and hard work can accomplish.

As she prepares for her next season — and her future in Nursing — Lindsey is helping define what it means to be a Purple Knight: competitive, committed, and community-minded.
