Kayla Batres first walked through the doors of South Side Wrestling Club as a determined 7-year-old, fueled by a dream and an unwavering work ethic. Over the past eleven years, Kayla has grown into an exceptional athlete, always believing in the process and never shying away from hard work. Now, her dedication has paid off in a big way! On August 16th, Kayla will represent Guatemala at the U20 World Championships in Bratislava, Slovakia. This is a momentous achievement, and it’s a testament to her perseverance and the support of our wrestling family.
As Kayla prepares to compete on the world stage, she faces significant expenses for travel, competition, and related costs. We want Kayla to focus on her training and her dream, not on financial barriers. That’s why we’re asking our wrestling community, friends, and supporters to rally behind her.
