It's that time of year when we are all dreading the loud ring of the school bells but we are so excited where this year will take us! As Michels and I get the shop, greenhouse, and our classrooms ready for another great year, we've put together our back-to-school class list.

If you'd like to help support our students, we've created an Amazon wishlist with supplies we'll use all year long. From classroom materials to shop and greenhouse supplies, every item helps give our students the hands-on experiences that make our program what it is.

If you're willing and able to help purchase an item, we'd sure appreciate it! Every donation, big or small, goes directly back to our students.

Another officer retreat is in the books! We had a two very productive and successful planning days. Thank you to the Blackwitz family for the use of their beautiful home and Grandma Debbie for some fun afterwards.

We are in need of empty clear water jugs with lids for an event we are planning. They can be dropped off at the high school or sent to school with a member.

This Tuesday some of our members got the opportunity to travel up to Springfield, for the 98th Illinois State FFA Convention. During the 1st Session one of our members had the chance to work in the Farm Credit Newsroom. Later in the 2nd Session, Makinzie Gaither was recognized for receiving her American Degree. After a long day they all headed out to do some shopping at Scheels. On Wednesday, Kaycie Clausman and DJ Brashear received their State Degrees. Both of these degrees takes lots of hard work and dedication to FFA, so if you see them please congratulate them. The following day two of our members had a very important job, as they got to vote on who they believe should be on the Illinois State Officer team for 2026-2027.

Section fair is quickly approaching. Livestock students wishing to show should update journal and financial entries as well as get health papers completed. These need submitted to Michels by June 20 for me to check. Message Michels with any questions.
