Peoples Bank Plaza, Bridgeport, CT - Installation of herbacious plants continues today! The transformation to become an inviting, human scale plaza is almost complete!

Planting began at the pollinator garden at H. Smith Richardson Golf Course sponsored by . Karen Secrist and all the other volunteers toiled through super compacted soils to install the plant material. The weather is a bit warm for our taste considering it is May, and hope we get some rain soon. Amazing members of a community can accomplish. A Great group, , and important endeavor.

Reviewing habitat today in Westport. While it is great to have the opportunity to get close to wildlife, the large number I saw on only 20 acres of open space reveals the challenges we face with such a large deer population.

Working to restore habitat in Greene County, NY - this is what it is about.

The basin continues to grow successfully. It will be 2 years to see full success. The cover crop has been seeded - we have observed small seedlings. Strong growth is expected in the spring, once soil temperatures are 55 degrees to a depth of 3 inches. Patience please.

H. Smith Richardson Golf Course, 4th Tee - our basins cover crop has germinated, and has stabilized soils. The summer months are relatively calm from a site work perspective. Very few invasives observed in the basin.

We developed a stormwater basin at the 4th Tee at the Smith Richardson Golf Course in Fairfield, CT. Earthwork is almost complete. Seeding will occur shortly. It is a bit late for seeding, but we will see how things progress. We developed the seed mix in collaboration with Ernst Seeds. We will post regularly to monitor progress. The full benefit of these endevours require 2-3 years, but that is why landscape architecture is a profession of patience. But am I patient?

It is not always what we create, but what we preserve. The shagbark hickory can live for 350 years.
