Celebrating an exceptional season and a historic first year for the program!!!!

Congratulations to Lindsey on being named Freshman of the Year by the athletic department and earning team MVP honors, a remarkable achievement that set the standard from the start.

Congratulations as well to Aubrey on being recognized as a Scholar Athlete, demonstrating outstanding commitment in the classroom and resilience in the face of a season-ending knee injury.

We are incredibly proud of all that this team has accomplished in its inaugural season, from growth and perseverance to the strong foundation built for the future. Thank you to our athletic department for their continued support in making this year possible.

Pumped and ready to go!! Lindsey Rywolt is wrestling tough and leaving it all out there for NCAA’s very first Women’s Wrestling Championship as our very first qualifier of the program!!! Let’s go Purple Knights, Game Time!!!

In our program’s inaugural year and our region’s first NCAA Tournament appearance, we made history!

Three regional placers:

• Lindsey Rywolt fought and wrestled hard to punch her ticket to nationals with a third place finish. Lindsey is our program’s first national qualifier!

• Jocelyn Sanchez wrestled tough throughout the tournament and placed 5th.

• Jelene Lainez battled her way through and took 6th.

UB finished placing 9th in the region out of 17 teams!!

So proud of UB Women’s Wrestling for the heart, grit, and hard work they put on display this weekend. This is a milestone moment for our program, and we’re just getting started.

Pumped and ready to go for Regionals!! Ladies are ready to leave everything out on the mat and show all the hard work they put in throughout the year. Time to show them what UB is made of and go have fun!!
