Perception, is a illusion. What you believe you see and learn is based on your current knowledge and position in which you are in life. A child Looks at the Moon's luster than a Teenager during a date and yet different again for the adult peering through telescope in a observatory or a person in their final hours viewing it from the hospital bed. Same with study of the Sciences of Combat, techniques you embrace in the white belt criteria will appear different to you as acquire the time and experience, because your position within the structural arrangement of the system allows influences of new methods to awaken your minds eye to different concepts or ideas that you would have missed. By your mind associating that influence over the original knowledge causes your Mind to be Aware of the Changes.

Within the Foundational notes on the Pu Moshi Kung Fu System, Founder David William Terrence(DWT)gave homage to Great Grand Master Edmond Parker and stated that the structure of the System was from American Kenpo Karate and that the Forms was tributed to GM Sung Yee Shan of Kwangtung China, primarily Chang Quan (Long Fist). This system of Kung Fu (skilled achievement) uses linear forms or katas called Tans or Talu (Line Sequence) this was necessary for faster learning and stronger retention of the content of the form. Also, Pu Moshi (Universal Pattern)emphases the Power of Association (Pao/PA)which means as the student moves through the style of Long Fist they begin the observe and instantly recognize postures and techniques that they have already learned in previous material studied, thus they go back to that Connective/Junction Point (CP/JP) and a Spark or Enlightenment happens. It is at that time the Teacher says "That is good Pu Moshi " to the student, meaning that the teacher recognizes the student's usage of the Universal Mind. If You as a Studious Practitioner of Long Fist observe a Form inwardly and outwardly the Universe will open hidden truth to your eye. I believe that Every Martial Art system holds such knowledge. However, Pu Moshi Kung Fu and The Teachers of it's Enlightenment was My birth art, that is to say, it was the first martial arts that Chose to give Me a Life. - Sincerely Zhang Shuoshi Sifu Raymond Pridgen
