Dear Kindergarten Families,

Due to the school closure, your Parent-Child School Visit for Tuesday, August 18th is canceled. We hope to reschedule you for Friday, August 21st, at the same time of your original appointment. 📓✏️

A little delay, but a whole lot of excitement ahead!

We know our families are eagerly awaiting the opening of our brand-new playgrounds, and we are just as excited to see them come to life!

There will be a slight delay (hoping minimal) before the playgrounds are ready for play, but we promise the wait will be worth it! Please keep in mind that rain and other inclement weather may impact the timeline and completion of the project. We are working closely with those involved and will keep our families updated at each step along the way.

In the meantime, our students will still have daily recess! Recess will look a little different for now as we make the most of the spaces available to us.

Thank you for your patience, understanding, and excitement as we navigate this process. We are almost there, and we cannot wait to see our students enjoying their new playgrounds! ❤🖤🛝

We hope everyone had a wonderful, relaxing summer break! We are so excited to welcome our students back tomorrow, August 18th, for the first day of school for students in grades 1st–5th!

Tonight, get to bed early, get plenty of rest, and get ready for a fantastic new school year. We can’t wait to see all of your smiling faces tomorrow!

A HUGE thank you to everyone who came out to the Simpson Elementary Car Wash and supported our 5th grade patrol members! Even with less-than-perfect weather, our students worked hard, had lots of fun, and made the day a success! ❤️🖤

They were even surprised by some very special guests! 🚒 Thank you to Mr. Phil for bringing the fire truck, along with several members of the City of Bridgeport Fire Department. Our patrol members were thrilled to see you!

We are so grateful for our wonderful school community and everyone who helped make this event so special! ❤️👏
