What a wonderful morning we had at Six to Six. Our 5th - 8th grade students were engaged and curious as they listened and interacted with our guest presenters during our Career Day event! It was beautiful to witness our student alumni, parents, and community members sharing so authentically their life stories and career journeys!

Career day is an opportunity for our students to engage with our guests in order to learn about their careers and the road that led them to be in their chosen professions. We are grateful to our presenters, our Six to Six PTA, our Six to Six SJE team, and our staff for making this day a success!!

Our middle school students celebrated Black History Month through an interdisciplinary collaboration with Blues & Beyond.

Throughout February, our 7th and 8th grade students explored the history of African American music in their Social Studies and Music classes and even wrote their own songs, which were performed during a culminating assembly for 5th–8th grade students on March 6.

Thank you to Arts for Learning Connecticut, our PTA, Mr. Milositz, Mr. Baldwin, and Ms. LaVecchia, and the Six to Six Social Justice & Equity Committee for making this experience possible.
