We will be collecting pumpkins until after Thanksgiving. Please drop off your pumpkins into the toters under the yellow and green sifter and we will take care of the rest.
BTW candles are not biodegradable.

Otherwise drop them off for PCCI to compost them at Captains Cove,
Don’t toss your pumpkins after Halloween, these Connecticut farms will take them
Several farms and animal sanctuaries can use leftover Halloween pumpkins as a treat for their livestock.

Don't throw pumpkins out in the trash, they make great compost and keeping them iut of the incinerator helps reduce health harming pollution.

PCCI will be presenting at the meeting of the South End NRZ next Thursday October 9th at 6:30pm.
Presentation will cover pending plans to set up a food scrap composting operation at Bridgeport's leaf composting site off of Cedar Creek Drive (off Barnum D**e across from Sikorsky). This site is already permitted for composting and well away from any residences.
There will be zoom available as well as in person. Stay tuned for more details.

Hey friends and neighbors, PCCI is in need of more 5 gallon buckets for our participants and our collection process.
If you are cleaning out your basement/garage and can spare a clean bucket or two from painting, pool chemicals, whatever. AS long as it is clean we can re-use it and give it an extended life.
Please let me know in the comments and we can arrange to pick up
