IT'S NATIONAL LIBRARY WEEK!!!!

Yesterday the BRS PAC gave our students something they all deserve - time in the library. We raised awareness on the importance of libraries in schools, made bookmarks, explored the stacks and wrote letters to our elected officials about why and where we like to read.

The engagement was real across all grade levels and each child had genuine interest in this mysterious room they had entered. When given the opportunity to explore the books, they did so with enthusiasm, interest and excitement. It was a beautiful sight to behold....

Thank you to our PAC member and Westport Public Library employee Ashley Hyde for creating a wonderful day of programming for our kids!

We hope to continue events like these, but also hope that we don't have to....
