Cook and Grow www.cookandgrow.org Cook and Grow is a Junior Chef program for children 8-13 years old. Limited space available for each session.

This program was founded by Chef Mona Jackson and teaches kitchen safety, food preparation, cooking, nutrition, and how to be informed consumer. Students learn about growing, preparing and cooking healthier meals. Our program is designed to address the risk of diabetes, high blood pressure and the dramatic increase of childhood obesity. Students will grow the fresh vegetables and herbs that they will cook with and learn to read and understand food labels to make better choices.

Join us for an evening of exceptional taste and community spirit at Cook and Grow’s Food Is Art, 20th Anniversary Celebration!!

Come celebrate our mission to cultivate the next generation of healthy eaters and gardeners. We are bringing together the best of Connecticut’s culinary scene for a night you won’t forget. Enjoy an array of individual bites prepared by renowned local guest chefs, perfectly paired with curated cocktails and fine wines.

The evening will feature live entertainment and exciting raffle prizes, but the highlight of the night will be our special guest speakers: Chef Chris Scott of Top Chef fame and Chef Damon Sawyer of the acclaimed 29 Markle Ct. Hear their insights on food, community, and the importance of culinary education.
