Wednesday, in honor of International Walk to School Day, our amazing Simpson Elementary student body stepped out in style!

The WVU Alternate Moutaineer Amelia Bolden, along with our PTA volunteers, Simpson Elementary safety patrols, teachers, staff and Officers Jamie Hamrick & Austin Ash took a short walk together to promote a happy, healthy school community.

Just prior to the walk, we shared with our students that walking to school is like giving their brains a giant morning high-five. It gets their hearts pumping, wakes up their minds, and helps everyone arrive energized and ready to learn! 🧠✨

A huge thank you to all the volunteers, safety patrols, teachers, staff and PRO Officers who helped keep everyone safe! We appreciate all of you!

Also, a huge thank you goes out to Amelia Bolden! She was absolutely amazing with the students! She was so kind and related so well to all of them.
