Dear Bearcat Families,

As we prepare for a successful school year, we want to share an important update regarding our student technology guidelines. To support academic focus, increase classroom engagement, promote peer interaction, and ensure compliance with Michigan law, Bridgeport-Spaulding High School will enforce the following Wireless Device Policy.

Important Highlights:

Restricted Hours: Personal electronic wireless devices (including cell phones, smartwatches, earbuds, and tablets) are prohibited from use, possession, or access on school grounds during the school day from 7:45 AM to 2:45 PM.

Secure Storage: Upon arrival, students must secure their devices inside a school-issued pouch and place them in their assigned area for the entire school day.

Violations: Any unapproved use or access will result in immediate confiscation. Confiscated devices will be securely held in the main office for parent/guardian pick-up and documented. Repeat violations or refusal to comply will result in progressive disciplinary action.

If you need to reach your student during school hours for an urgent matter, please contact the high school main office directly, and our staff will ensure your message is delivered promptly.

Remember, you belong there, you are capable, and YOU CAN DO THIS! Graduating from Bridgeport didn’t end my support. I’m still here whenever you need guidance, resources, or simply some encouragement.
